ThinkQuest LogoCongratulations to Class 4-306 for creating their own websites for a city wide competition called ThinkQuest. The purpose of ThinkQuest is to get students to use the Internet as a collaborative and interactive learning tool. The students in Ms. Olino’s class worked hard researching topics of study and designing their own unique sites using Macromedia DreamWeaver. Did anyone notice anything else about the websites that grabbed your attention? I was especially impressed with the “Planets” websites, showcasing information about all the planets.

I hope all the people in Thinkquest are having fun. I was in Thinkquest last year. We had to create a web site. There were 6 kids in my group last year. It’s great that Ramzan and Nicholas like the multiple choice test.

I learned alot about the Hindu religion. Did you know that Lord Shiva got angry about all the attention that Ganesh was getting so his middle eye burned of his head ? 5 minutes after he felt bad. The closest animal was an elaphant so he choped it`s head and gave it to the baby.

I think that the humans should stop killing the animals because the animals will be endangered. You should stop eating the animals before they be endangered.

I like the website about famous people. I like the parts that show about the pop stars because it tells information about their lives. Good job Ms. Olino’s class.

We looked at the Endangered Animals website. Almost all of the animals are becoming extinct for what we are doing. Some of them are Tigers, Cheetahs, and Pandas. People are ruining their homes like trees, and caves. You are doing a great job 4th graders on informing other people.

We learned a few facts from the website called On The Way To Extinction. There are a lot of animals getting extinct, especially the tigers. There are only 4,000 to 5,400 tigers left. People are selling the ivory for money. The tigers are very rare to the humans. We can help by stop cutting down their habitat, which are the trees and stop taking their ivory. Tigers are endangered species. We should really help the tigers.

I learned from the Good , the Bad, and the Ugly that people don’t have to follow what other famous people do, because maybe whatever they do are bad. If the famous people get fired you’ll be in trouble very much. Or you will get kicked out of the house.
